I like how they have their cappuccino on their menu listed as “traditional”. It’s amazing how the corporate world of coffee has brainwashed people to call drinks different to their original meanings. I have to deal with it constantly at Dunn Bros, people thinking a “macchiato” is some carmely, sugary fru fru drink etc..etc.. Some people are actually so lost in the coffee world that they will walk into any shop and order a “venti double turtle mocha” and expect the barista to know what they are talking about. This reason alone is why sometimes I look at a career in coffee, and want to run the other direction. Aside from that rant, the taste of this “traditional” cappuccino was pretty good. For the basics of a cappuccino, it should be broken up into 3 equal parts, espresso, steamed milk and foam. The latte art that the barista made was fantastic. It definitely shows the time and detail placed into every drink, even with a line of customers eagerly waiting for their fix. This is still one of my favorite places to visit in South Minneapolis and continues to receive great reviews from online marketplaces.
